MANILA, Philippines—Anti-narcotics agents seized Tuesday more than P11 million-worth of marijuana (Cannabis Sativa) from three plantations at the Ilocos Region, said Philippine National Police spokesperson Chief Superintendent Agrimero Cruz Jr..
Cruz said Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency operatives and the police seized the three marijuana plantations, which were valued at P11,680,000, at the boundary of Mt. Agay in Barangay (village) Licungan, Sugpon Ilocos Sur and Mt. Litalit at Sitio Batangan, Barangay (village) Tacadang, Kibungan, Benguet around 7 a.m.
The cultivator, however, was not found.
He said some marijuana plants were burned at the site while some were brought to Camp President Elpidio Quirino in Ilocos Sur for proper disposal.
