Expect light rains in NCR, other Luzon areas due to Amihan — Pagasa
MANILA, Philippines — Northeast monsoon or Amihan will dampen Metro Manila, Northern Luzon, Central Luzon, and Calabarzon areas this Monday evening until Tuesday morning, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
In a 4 p.m. live-streamed weather update, Pagasa weather specialist Chris Perez said the Amihan and tail end of the frontal system would bring cloudy skies and scattered rains over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, and Quezon.
Perez also cautioned residents in affected areas regarding possible flooding and landslides due to the bad weather.
Meanwhile, Perez said the trough or extension of Tropical Depression Vicky outside the Philippine area of responsibility would cause isolated thunderstorms in Palawan.
Perez also noted that “generally fair weather” but with isolated thunderstorms are expected over Mindanao and Visayas areas. [ac]
