Cops probe 2 explosions near Nueva Ecija town hall
MANILA, Philippines — Police said they are investigating two blasts near a municipal hall in Nueva Ecija on Sunday afternoon.
In a report, Police Brigadier General Valeriano de Leon, chief of Central Luzon police, said two explosions were heard outside Jaen Municipal Hall at 4:25 p.m.
Recovered were “pieces of motorcycle battery, scattered nails and bottle with a suspected residue of gasoline.”
Police said they would review the closed-circuit television footage of the incident to help in their investigation.
No one was hurt in the blast while the perpetrators are still unidentified, said police. [ac]
