TD Vicky makes landfall in Davao Oriental
MANILA, Philippines — Tropical Depression Vicky has made landfall in the municipality of Baganga in Davao Oriental on Friday afternoon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported.
In an interview over dzBB, Pagasa weather forecaster Jun Galang said Vicky made landfall at around 2 p.m.
“Inaasahan natin na pagkatapos niya mag-landfall dito ay maaaring mag-cross siya sa Mindanao at magi-emerge siya dito sa may Bohol Sea bukas ng umaga,” Galang said.
(We are expecting that after its landfall, Vicky may cross Mindanao and will reemerge in Bohol Sea tomorrow morning.)
“Maari din po itong lumapit dito sa may Siquijor at dadaan sa may southern portion ng Negros Island at maari pong bukas ng hapon narito na siya sa may Sulu sea,” he added.

Over 30 areas are currently under Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal 1 where 30-60 km/h winds are expected to prevail.
