Tail-end of frontal system to bring scattered rains in Bicol area, E. Visayas
MANILA, Philippines — The tail-end of a frontal system that was previously causing rains in the eastern section of Northern Luzon is now affecting the weather in the Bicol Region and Eastern Visayas, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Wednesday.
Based on the weather forecast issued by Pagasa at 4 a.m., Bicol Region and Eastern Visayas will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to the tail-end of a frontal system, or a weather system that forms due to the interaction of the cold northeast monsoon and warm easterly winds.
“Maaari pong makaranas ng makulimlim na kalangitan na may kalat-kalat na pag-ulan at mayroong pagkidlat at pagkulog dahil sa tail-end of a frontal system dito sa may Bicol Region,” Pagasa weather specialist Shelly Ignacio said.
