Crime gang ‘member’ slain in Laguna
SAN PEDRO CITY –– An alleged member of a crime group was killed by police after resisting arrest in Sta. Rosa City, Laguna, on Tuesday morning.
A Calabarzon police report identified the slain suspect as Randy Getape, who was tagged as a “high-value” target, and a member of the Alomia criminal gang in Laguna.
The report said the police conducted a buy-bust operation around 2:45 a.m. at Getape’s residence in Barangay Caingin. But instead of submitting himself, the police said Getape drew and fired a .38-caliber gun, forcing authorities to return fire.
The suspect died while being taken to a hospital in the city.
