A carpenter died after he was shot at close range by another carpenter in barangay Langub, Argao town, southern Cebu, on Wednesday night.
Rex Ngujo, 44, was allegedly shot in the head by Noel Gecera, 36, who remains at large, said Senior Insp. Wilfredo Parilla of the Argao police.
Police said the wives of the two men were not in good terms that may have triggered the attack.
Police said Ngujo was in a store when Gecera arrived.
Gecera was heard telling Ngujo, “Bbiliba ko nimo, bay, hurot akong bilib nimo.”
Ngujo answered, “Ayaw hutda imong bilib, bay, kay mahurot.”
Upon hearing this, Grecera drew a gun and shot Ngujo, said police.
