American pedophile wanted in US faces deportation

/ 04:40 AM December 14, 2020

The Bureau of Immigration (BI) is set to deport an alleged American pedophile wanted for sex crimes in the United States. Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente said Donald Robert Tyler, 57, would be temporarily detained at the BI warden facility in Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City, pending deportation. “He will be placed [on] our blacklist and banned from reentering the Philippines for being an undesirable alien,” Morente said. Joint operatives of the bureau’s fugitive search unit and National Bureau of Investigation arrested Tyler on Thursday at his residence in Barangay San Roque, Ginatilan, Cebu. Tyler is the subject of an arrest warrant issued by a circuit court in Josephine County, Oregon, on Nov. 4 last year for sodomy. —Tina G. Santos
