Pagasa: Fair Sunday weather in Metro Manila
MANILA, Philippines — A tail-end of a frontal system will dampen four areas in Northern Luzon while fair weather is expected in Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon on Sunday, Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
Ariel Rojas, Pagasa weather specialist, said Ilocos Norte, Apayao, Cagayan, and Babuyan Islands will experience scattered rain showers with possible flash floods.
Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon or “amihan” will cause cloudy skies and light rains over Batanes.
Rojas also noted that so far, no low pressure area (LPA) is expected to enter Philippine territory until Wednesday.
“Sa kasulukuyan, po wala naman tayong minomonitor na low pressure area or sama ng panahon na posibleng pumasok sa area of responsibility in the next three days,” he said in a 4 a.m. weather forecast livestreamed at Pagasa’s official Facebook page.
(For now, we are not monitoring any LPA or any weather disturbance that would possibly enter the area of responsibility in the next three days.)
