6-month-old baby youngest COVID-19 fatality in Bohol

TAGBILARAN CITY—A six-month-old infant died of COVID-19 on Tuesday, the youngest fatality of the disease in Bohol province.

Dr. Cesar Tomas Lopez, spokesperson of the Bohol Inter-Agency Task Force (BIATF), said the infant, a girl and resident of Sagbayan town, was brought to the Congressman Simeon G. Toribio Memorial Hospital in Carmen town but later died.

Lopez said the infant’s parents and close contacts were already isolated.

“Let us continue to be watchful. Let us help one another,” he said.

Bohol province currently has 766 COVID-19 cases with 642 recoveries and 16 deaths.
