Kabankalan City Hall to function at full capacity starting today
BACOLOD CITY –– The Kabankalan City Hall will operate at 100 percent capacity starting today, Dec. 9, after only five new employees tested positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and have been placed in healing facilities.
“I canceled the 50-percent workforce policy since out of 398 employees at the City Hall, only five tested positive, which is very minimal,” Mayor Pedro Zayco said.
The Kabankalan City Hall employees had been divided into two teams and worked in shifts to ensure that all are tested for COVID-19.
Zayco said the testing of all of the City Hall employees had been completed, with two from the first team and three from the second team found to be positive for COVID-19.
Of the three employees who tested positive from the last batch, two were from the Mayor’s Office, and one was from the General Services Office (GSO).
The two employees, who tested positive from the first team, were from the City Accounting Office and GSO.
