Easterlies to bring rainshowers in more parts of Luzon

MANILA, Philippines — The easterlies or warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean will bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms in more parts of Luzon, while fair weather is expected in other parts of the country on Tuesday, according to the state weather bureau.

Based on the weather forecast issued by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) at 4 a.m., the easterlies will affect the weather in Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, Quezon, Mindoro Provinces, and northern Palawan including Kalayaan islands.

Meanwhile, Ilocos Region will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon or amihan.

The rest of Luzon, including Metro Manila, and Visayas will have fair weather but with possibilities of isolated rainshowers.

“Sa Metro Manila at nalalabing bahagi ng Luzon, magiging maaliwalas naman ang ating panahon na may posibilidad pa rin ng panandaliang buhos ng ulan na dulot pa rin ng localized thunderstorms,” Pagasa weather specialist Meno Mendoza said.

(In Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, the weather will be fair with possibilities of isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms.)

“Sa Kabisayaan, patuloy na mararanasan ang maaliwalas na panahon na may posibilidad pa rin ng isolated thunderstorms lalo na pagdating ng hapon o gabi dulot pa rin ng mga localized thunderstorms,” he also said.

(Visayas wil continue to have fair weather but possibilities of isolated rainshowers especially in the afternoon or evening due to localized thunderstorms.)

Meanwhile, Mindanao will experience hot and humid weather.

“Sa Mindanao, magiging mainit at maalinsangan pa rin ang ating panahon subalit pagdating ng hapon at gabi asahan pa rin ang localized thunderstorms,” Mendoza added.

(Mindanao will have hot and humid weather but there might be isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon.)
