Ecija farmer shot, killed by masked men on motorcycle

SAN ANTONIO, Nueva Ecija—Two motorcycle-riding masked men shot and killed a 59-year-old farmer here on Monday (Dec. 7), police said.

The farmer was identified as Efren Nicolas, a resident of Sto. Cristo village here.

Investigators said Nicolas was shot around 11: 30 a.m. in front of his fellow farmers.

Maj. Ramil Ebarle, town police chief, said Nicolas suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

Relatives said that a sibling of Nicolas was also killed in November 2017 but the case remains unsolved.
