Laborer shot dead by drunk security guard in Quezon

LUCENA CITY – A drunk security guard allegedly shot and killed a laborer who was trying to pacify quarrelling  individuals in Lucban, Quezon Saturday night.

The Lucban police reported that the victim, Jhergie Seño, 28, tried to pacify a heated argument between his friends and a relative of security guard Mark Alvin Peñamante, 36 in Barangay  4 around 10:45 p.m.

Police said Peñamante, 36, confronted the victim, drew his .38 caliber gun and shot the Seno.

Peñamante, who police said was under the influence of liquor, escaped after the shooting but was later arrested.

The victim was taken to MMG Hospital also in Lucban but succumbed to a gunshot wound to the chest.
