MANILA, Philippines — The bodies of two unidentified men with gunshot wounds to their heads were discovered in two different barangays in Makati City early Friday, police said.
A report from the Makati Police Station said one of the bodies was found lying on the ground with his hands tied with a “black cable.”
Police said the first body was discovered in Barangay Pio del Pilar at 2:20 a.m. Police said the victim was wearing a blue shirt, beige short pants, and slippers.
Police said the victim is believed to be between 25 to 30 years old and is about 5’4” to 5’6” tall.
The body was discovered after a barangay kagawad (counselor) was approached by a scavenger who reported that a shooting happened in the area, police said.
Recovered from the crime scene were seven spent shells fired from caliber 9mm pistol.
Police said the second unidentified body was discovered along the Osmeña Highway in Barangay San Antonio. Police said the victim was wearing a black t-shirt, beige cargo short pants, and black rubber shoes.
The victim was believed to be between 40 to 45 years old and is about between 5’6” to 5’8” tall, police said.
Police also recovered four shells fired from a 9mm caliber pistol at the scene.
The two bodies were later brought to the Rizal Funeral Homes, police said.
Makati Police chief Colonel Oscar Jacildo told INQUIRER.net in a text message that investigators have yet to identify the victims and determine the motive for the killings.
