Philpost Christmas 2020 stamp pays tribute to families
The Philippine Postal Corp. has released 10,000 Christmas stamps that pays a “loving tribute” to all families celebrating the holidays together.
Designed by in-house graphic artist Eunice Beatrix Dabu, the “Pasko 2020” stamps, which cost P12 each, features an image of the contemporary Filipino family with a traditional “parol” (Christmas lantern) in the background.
In a statement, PhilPost said the Christmas stamps were a reminder that spending time with the family bring “much needed respite from worries and adversity” with the hope of “better days to come.”
“In the face of harrowing grief, we are bound together by our shared responsibility to each other. All of this, we learned from the basic unit of our society—the family,” it said.
According to PhilPost, 2020 has been very challenging due to the pandemic and the series of typhoons that hit the country, although “despite the darkness, light still shines through.”
