UP fraternity offers P100,000 reward for leads to missing law professor

MANILA, Philippines — Alpha Phi Beta Fraternity of the University of the Philippines (UP) on Monday offered a P100,000 reward to anyone who has credible information about the whereabouts of missing lawyer Ryan Oliva.

“In order to aid in the search, the Fraternity is willing to give a reward of P100,000.00 to any person who can provide credible information that will help us find Atty. Oliva,” the fraternity said in a Facebook post.

Oliva, an Associate Professor at the UP College of Law and an employee of the Department of Tourism’s (DOT) Legislative Liason Unit, was a former lord chancellor of the fraternity.

According to Oliva’s family, the professor has been missing since November 21.

On November 27, the professor’s possessions were discovered on the shores of Occidental Mindoro. According to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Oliva’s last known whereabouts were at a Batangas resort. [ac]
