MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.0 earthquake shook parts of Batangas and other provinces Friday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said.
The tectonic quake struck at 10:37 a.m. 24 kilometers southwest of Nasugbu, Batangas, Phivolcs said in its bulletin.
It was felt and recorded at Instrumental Intensity II in Calatagan, Batangas and Instrumental Intensity I in Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro and Malolos City, Bulacan.
Phivolcs said no significant damage or aftershocks are expected.
