MANILA, Philippines — President Rodrigo Duterte will announce the quarantine classifications for the month of December on Monday, Nov. 30, Malacañang said.
“Bagamat holiday po sa a trenta, I have had to personally change my schedule because I was told na magkakaroon ng talk to the people po ang Presidente sa a trenta ng Nobyembre which is a holiday,” presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said Thursday in an online briefing.
(Although it is a holiday on the 30th, I have had to personally change my schedule because I was told that the President will have a talk to the people on November 30 which is a holiday.)
“Doon po i-a-announce ni Pangulo ang change in classifications kung meron po,” he added.
(That’s when the President will announce the changes in classifications if there’s any.)
Most parts of the country are now under the less restrictive measures of either a general community quarantine (GCQ) or a modified GCQ.
Metro Manila, Batangas, Iloilo City, Bacolod City, Tacloban City, Iligan City, and Lanao del Sur were placed under GCQ for the entire month of November while the rest of the country remained under MGCQ.
On Nov. 20, Davao City shifted from the most lenient measure of MGCQ to GCQ after it recorded an increase in COVID-19 cases.
