TUGUEGARAO CITY –– Six new cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) were recorded in Cagayan province over the weekend, health officials said on Monday.
The cases surfaced a week after widespread flooding hit the province.
Five of the COVID-19 cases were from this capital city, and these include two health workers, a carpenter, a cook, and a driver.
The other COVID-19 case was recorded in the town of Baggao.
As of Monday, at least 116 active cases have been reported in this city, more than two-thirds of Cagayan’s 159 cases, according to the Cagayan provincial health office and the provincial epidemiology and surveillance unit.
