2 brothers in P175-M drug bust nabbed

MANILA, Philippines — Philippine National Police operatives have arrested two brothers in Caloocan City, after a buy-bust operation yielded more than 25 kilograms of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) worth P175 million hidden in Chinese tea packages.

Gen. Debold Sinas, the PNP chief, said police agents arrested brothers Kalif Latif, 24, and Akisah Latif, 18, after the drug sting at 7:30 a.m. in Tala, Caloocan.

The shabu was in 44 transparent plastic bags.
