MANILA, Philippines —A magnitude 4.3 earthquake struck Davao Occidental on Saturday night, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
Based on the initial earthquake bulletin, Phivolcs said the tremor shook 19 kilometers (kms) southwest of Sarangani, Davao Occidental at 9:11 p.m.
Phivolcs said it was tectonic in origin and had a depth of 165 kms.
State seismologists assured the public that no aftershocks and damage are expected from the earthquake.
