‘Nanlaban’: Naga City drug suspect killed in buy-bust operation

LEGAZPI CITY—A drug suspect was killed in a buy-bust operation in Naga City, Camarines Sur province early on Friday (Nov. 20).

MSgt. Tobias Bongon, Naga police spokesperson, said suspect Ruben Rosana fell for a police undercover operation and sold shabu, or crystal meth, worth P15,000 to an undercover government agent past 4 a.m.

But Rosana did not give up and instead opened fire at police officers who were about to arrest him and was killed when police returned fire.

Bongon said police found a .38 caliber revolver on Rosana, which was believed to be the firearm he used to shoot at the policemen.
