3 suspected drug pushers busted in Lucena stings

LUCENA CITY –– A 61-year-old suspected drug pusher and two others were arrested in separate buy-bust operations here on Thursday and Friday, police said.

The Quezon police reported that anti-narcotics agents collared Vivencio Buhay, 61, and his associate, Rosechel Tangca, 30, after they sold P500 worth of shabu (crystal meth) to a police agent in a transaction in Barangay Cotta around 2:30 a.m. Friday.

Eight plastic sachets of shabu and a loaded undocumented .22 caliber revolver were seized from the suspects who were both known drug pushers in the village and nearby areas.

Police also arrested Anthony Tatel, 35, in another drug sting operation in Barangay 10 at 10:40 p.m. Thursday.

The suspect yielded five grams of shabu with Dangerous Drugs Board value of P34,000.

The suspects were detained at the city police jail and are facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
