New superintendent for PMA named
BAGUIO CITY—A new superintendent took the helm of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) on Monday, vowing to continue reforms aimed at removing all forms of maltreatment among cadets.
Air Force Maj. Gen. Ferdinand Cartujano, a member of PMA “Maringal” Class of 1988, replaced Vice Adm. Allan Ferdinand Cusi, who retired.
“These are difficult times when our integrity is constantly being doubted—when our truthfulness is portrayed as opaque glass that cannot be penetrated by light,” Cartujano told cadets and fellow officers during the turnover ceremony. —VINCENT CABREZA
