Batanes, Babuyan Islands to have light rains due to ‘amihan’ — Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines — Batanes and Babuyan Islands will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains on Wednesday due to the northeast monsoon or amihan, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

Based on the weather forecast issued by Pagasa at 4 a.m., there will be fair weather for the rest of Luzon with chances of isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, hot and humid weather will prevail in Visayas and Mindanao but isolated rainshowers may still occur.

“Ang magiging kalagayan ng panahon dito sa Visayas at Mindanao, magiging mainit at maalinsangan po ang panahon. Magkakaroon po tayo ng bahagyang maulap and then maaari pong maging makulimlim. May mga inaasahan po tayo na mga isolated na pag-ulan ngunit ito ay panandalian lamang,” Pagasa weather specialist Shelly Ignacio said.

(Visayas and Mindanao will have hot and humid weather. There will be partly cloudy to cloudy skies. Isolated rainshowers can also be expected but these will only last for a short period of time.)

Ignacio said there are currently no cloud clusters or weather disturbance that could affect the weather condition in the country.
