Caritas Manila warns vs donation scams

MANILA, Philippines — Caritas Manila warns the public against scammers raising money for fake donation drives supposedly for victims of Typhoons Ulysses, Quinta and Rolly.

Caritas executive director Anton Pascual said some people posing as Caritas workers were asking for donations.

“Beware of fake donation drives,” Pascual said.

To donate to Caritas Manila, deposit to its peso savings accounts: BDO 000-5600-45905; BPI 3063-5357-01; and Metrobank 175-3-17506954-3.

For dollar deposits, BPI savings account 3064-0033-55 or USHARE Unionbank savings account 3064-0033.
