MANILA, Philippines — The Bureau of Customs (BOC) intercepted three parcels of smuggled US dollar bills worth P1.8 million concealed inside magazines.

On Tuesday, the BOC at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia) said it seized three packages of “documents” containing $38,700 in cash at the Fedex warehouse.

Naia port district collector Carmelita Talusan said the packages, which arrived on Nov. 2, were misdeclared as “documents.”
