LUCENA CITY –– Five alleged notorious drug pushers were arrested in a series of buy-bust operations in this city on Sunday and Monday.
Lt. Col. Romulo Albacea, Lucena police chief, identified the busted suspects as Rosaly Geling, 35; Teotimo Pornasdoro, 67; Crisanto Legaspi, 38; Nestor Enoc, 41; and Mary Jane Dominguez, 38.
Anti-illegal drug operatives collared Legazpi after he sold shabu (crystal meth) in a plastic sachet to a police agent posing as a drug user in a transaction in Barangay Ibabang Dupay at 9:20 a.m. Monday.
Authorities seized ten sachets of shabu from the suspect.
Pornasdoro was held in a sting operation in Barangay Silangang Mayao at 7:10 a.m. He was carrying seven sachets of meth.
Earlier, at 5:15 a.m. Geling was also busted in Barangay Ibabang Dupay with six sachets of meth.
On Sunday, police arrested Enoc in Barangay Isabang around 9:45 a.m. Authorities seized three sachets of shabu.
Dominguez, a rice vendor on the side, was also arrested in Barangay 4 earlier. At least four sachets of shabu were found in her possession.
The police said reformed drug users identified the five suspects as known shabu peddlers in their respective villages.
The suspects were detained at the city police jail and are facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
