BACOLOD CITY –– Work at the Negros Occidental provincial capitol in this city resumed on Friday, Nov.13, following the resumption of the five-day workweek.
Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz said Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson ordered employees to render eight working hours a day for five days or a total of 40 days a week since the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) situation in Bacolod City has improved.
”Gov. Lacson respects this accomplishment and the employees of the Capitol can work five days a week without fear,” Diaz said.
Last Aug. 28, the provincial government adopted a four-day workweek arrangement as a measure to contain the spread of COVID-19.
Employees at the provincial capital were then required to physically report to work only from Monday to Thursday. On Fridays, they worked from home.
