MANILA, Philippines — Authorities rescued Nangka, Marikina City residents on Thursday morning after the city was inundated by floodwater due to Typhoon Ulysses.

In a video by Radyo INQUIRER, rescue teams could be seen using motorboats and trucks in rescuing residents from the floods.

Residents could also be seen wading in waters up to waist-high.

A large part of Marikina was submerged under floodwater on Thursday after the Marikina River overflowed due to strong rains brought by Ulysses.
