In an earlier radio interview, Marikina City Mayor Marcelino Teodoro said roughly 40,000 homes had been either fully or partially submerged in the city, even calling the situation “overwhelming”.

As of 6:45 p.m., the Marikina River water level was at 18.9 meters.

Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal has been lifted in Metro Manila-based on the weather bulletin of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) at 5 p.m. on Thursday.
