Earn P50,000 to P100,000 by reporting corrupt officials – Duterte

MANILA, Philippines — Anyone who reports corrupt officials or anomalous projects can make from P50,000 to P100,000 — depend on the scale of the corruption involved.

President Rodrigo Duterte made this officer in a pre-recorded address that aired late Tuesday night.

“All you have to do is to let me know. And I have a prize [for you],” he said.

“And I will keep your identity secret until I reach my grave,” he added.

The President suggested informants to pass on their information to any Cabinet member.

He also advised them to let him know should the erring official harass them.

“I will deal with the devil,” he said.

“That’s what I want: To shoot a person legally. If you’re being… threatened, let me know. I’d be happy to make you happy. Okay?” he added, speaking partly in Filipino.

[Original in Filipino: “Yan ang gusto ko. Bumaril ng tao na legal. Kaya kung inaano ka, tinatakot ka, paalamin mo ako. I’d be happy to make you happy. Okay?”]

Informants, he said, would get paid once the official to whom they reported the anomaly identify them to him.
