Pasay cop in rape raps
A Pasay policeman has been relieved temporarily pending an investigation of a rape complaint filed against him.
Pasay Police Chief Senior Supt. Melchor Reyes said the police officer, PO2 Emerson Villarojo of the Pasay Police Community Precinct 2, will be with a holding group as the investigation continues.
“If the investigation reveals that he is guilty of the charge, then we will file an administrative complaint at the Philippine National Police headquarters for violation of the code of ethics. If he is not guilty, he can resume his normal duties here,” Reyes said.
Police reports indicate that on Jan. 24, Villarojo arrested the woman, who was not identified by the police, allegedly for selling drugs.
But the woman countered by filing charges of rape against the policeman.
The Pasay Police Women’s Desk started the investigation as the woman alleged that Villarojo tried to pick her up for P1,500 and brought her to a motel where she was raped and was not paid the money. Nathaniel R. Melican
