Negros Occidental, Bacolod City breach 5,000 mark for COVID-19 cases
BACOLOD CITY –– Negros Occidental and Bacolod City breached the 5,000-mark for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases on Monday (Nov. 9).
The Department of Health in Western Visayas said Negros Occidental had 39 new COVID-19 cases, while Bacolod City had 35, bringing their number of infections to 5,007 and 5,032, respectively.
Of the 5,007 persons infected with the COVID-19 in Negros Occidental, 89 have died, and 3,340 recovered. Its number of active cases is down to 1,578.
In Bacolod City, 5,032 contracted the virus, including 147 deaths, 4,525 recoveries, and 360 active cases.
