‘Bato’ hails Sinas’ appointment as new PNP chief
MANILA, Philippines — National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) director Police Major Gen. Debold Sinas is a “very good choice” as the next Philippine National Police (PNP) chief, Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa said on Monday.
Sinas was appointed by President Rodrigo Duterte to succeed retiring Gen. Camilo Cascolan PNP chief
“Very good choice. Nobody is perfect in this world. He has a proven track record,” Dela Rosa, a former PNP chief, told INQUIRER.net when asked if Sinas is a good choice for the position given that he was earlier embroiled in the “mañanita” controversy.
Dela Rosa also advised Sinas to continue the internal cleansing program of the PNP.
“Sustain the gains of PNP’s anti-drugs and anti-criminality campaign,” the senator said.
