2,157 new COVID-19 infections raise PH total to 393,961

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health (DOH) reported 2,157 additional infections of the coronavirus disease, pushing the country’s total caseload to 393,961.

In its Saturday case bulletin posted at 4 p.m., the health agency said 36,260 or 9.2 percent of the total COVID-19 cases were active cases.

Meanwhile, 252 more recoveries were documented, bringing the total survivors of COVID-19 to 350,216.

However, the COVID-19 death toll reached 7,485 nationwide with 24 new fatalities.

DOH, once again, revised the total number of COVID-19 cases after removing five duplicated cases. Of these, four were recoveries.

Six recoveries were also reclassified as deaths, DOH said.

Nine molecular laboratories failed to submit their COVID-19 cases tally to DOH on November 6.
