LUCENA CITY, Philippines – Flip-top rap battle artist “J-Skeelz” was arrested in a drug bust in Candelaria town in Quezon province early Saturday.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Arnulfo Selencio, Candelaria police chief, said the suspect, whose real name is Jason Yap Rodriguez, 37 and a resident of Gagalangin in Tondo, Manila, was collared after he reportedly sold P1,000 worth of suspected shabu (crystal meth) to an undercover police officer in a transaction inside the Quezon Premiere Hotel in Barangay (village) Masin Sur around 3:30 a.m.

Police seized two more plastic sachets of the supposed shabu from the suspect which will be subjected to laboratory analysis.
