MANILA, Philippines — Senator Panfilo Lacson said Friday he will reveal some “skeleton” government projects when he interpellates for the 2021 national budget.
“The President says he hates ‘ghost’ projects. ‘Skeleton’ projects couldn’t be any better. Will show some when I interpolate on the 2021 national budget,” he said in a tweet.
“We’d love to see those responsible hanging upside down from concrete posts that serve no purpose except to waste public funds,” he added.

Lacson said this after President Rodrigo Duterte, in a meeting with Cabinet members on Thursday night, said “partial delivery” and “ghost projects” are among the most common corrupt practices hounding infrastructure projects of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
Duterte also told corrupt DPWH personnel to resign and face charges.
Before this latest pronouncement, Duterte ordered a Department of Justice-led task force to investigate alleged corruption within the DPWH.
