PH now has 389,725 total COVID-19 infections; 32,773 active cases

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippines has logged 1,594 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, raising the total number of cases to 389,725.

As of 4 p.m. on Thursday, the Department of Health also recorded 32,773 active cases of COVID-19, which makes up 8.4 percent of the total cases.

DOH also documented 468 more recoveries, increasing the total sum of survivors to 349,543.

Meanwhile, COVID-19 death toll reached 7,409, with 42 new fatalities of respiratory disease.

The nation’s COVID-19 caseload was again modified after the DOH removed six duplicated cases. Of the six duplicates, two are recoveries.

In addition, DOH disclosed that 14 cases tagged as recoveries were reclassified to deaths.

DOH also revealed that 10 molecular laboratories failed to submit their tally to DOH COVID-19 Data Repository System on Wednesday, Nov. 4.
