Another Negros Occidental hospital converted into COVID-19 facility

BACOLOD CITY—Another hospital in Negros Occidental has been converted into a facility exclusive for COVID-19 patients.

Rayfrando Diaz, provincial administrator, said the 50-bed Valladolid District Hospital in the town of the same name will be opened as a facility only for COVID-19 cases on Thursday (Nov. 5).

Diaz said the hospital would admit only COVID-19 patients and “those who tested positive for the virus.”

People bringing COVID-19 patients to the hospital were advised to first call these numbers—(034) 4730131, 09454592179 or 0961 4119717.

Walk-in patients are being discouraged.

The Valladolid hospital is the second provincial government-run hospital that has been converted into a COVID-19 facility.

The 150-bed Cadiz District Hospital in Cadiz City had also been converted into a COVID-19 facility.

COVID-19 has infected 4,799 persons in Negros Occidental. At least 3,202 had recovered from the disease while 82 died, according to the Department of Health (DOH) in the region.

Bacolod City, on the other hand, has 4,856 with 4,444 recoveries and 134 deaths.
