Negros Occidental reopening Bacolod park where people exercise

BACOLOD CITY—The provincial government of Negros Occidental is reopening a recreation site in the city—provincial capitol park and lagoon—starting on Saturday (Nov. 7) but subject to health protocols.
The park was ordered closed to the public by Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson last March to prevent mass gatherings that could spread SARS Cov2, the virus that causes COVID-19.
The governor said guidelines on the implementation of community quarantines nationwide now allow indoor and outdoor non-contact sports and exercises, which would help in the physical and mental well-being of the people of the province.
Lacson listed these health protocols in reopening the park, however:
Lacson designated the provincial government’s safety and security division as enforcer of the health protocols at the park.
