MANILA, Philippines — The Supreme Court has accepted the early retirement of Associate Justice Priscilla Baltazar-Padilla.
“The Court approved the application for disability retirement of Justice Priscilla Baltazar-Padilla effective today, 3 November, 2020,” the high court’s Public Information Office announced Tuesday.
The high court did not provide any more details except that her application was for “disability retirement.”
Baltazar-Padilla, a Court of Appeals Associate Justice was appointed to the Supreme Court on July 16, 2020. She is the 188th high court magistrate and the 14th apppointee of President Rodrigo Duterte.
She is 62-years old and was supposed to retire in 2028. [ac]
