MANILA, Philippines — A fire sweeping through a residential area along Anonas Street in Sta. Mesa, Manila has reached the fourth alarm, fire authorities said on Monday.
According to the Manila Fire Department’s Sta. Mesa Fire Station, the 4th alarm was raised at 3:45 p.m., just minutes after the fire started at 3:21 p.m.
Photos from the Manila Public Information Office showed that the houses engulfed by fire were mainly made of light materials, like wood and plastic roofing.
