15 families evacuated in Zambales due to Rolly

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales- At least 15 families living in danger zones in Castillejos town were preemptively evacuated on Sunday afternoon in anticipation of flooding and landslides brought by Typhoon Rolly.

According to Sultan Celis of the Castillejos municipal disaster risk reduction and management office, the evacuated families are composed of 47 individuals who come from Sitio Pagong in Barangay Balaybay.

The displaced families will stay at the designated evacuation center in their village.

Celis said they were also coordinating with officials of other villages to carry out preemptive evacuations of residents in low-lying areas.
