MANILA, Philippines — The Philippines on Saturday logged 1,803 new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases, bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases to 380,729.
In its COVID-19 case bulletin, the Department of Health (DOH) reported 42,462 active cases, which is 11.2 percent of the total COVID-19 infections nationwide.
The DOH also reported 36 more patients who succumbed to the respiratory disease. This brings the country’s total COVID-19 death toll to 7,221 or 1.90 percent of the total COVID-19 cases.
Meanwhile, 606 more COVID-19 patients were able to recover, raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 331,046.
After further validation of its cases, the DOH revised its total case count by removing seven duplicate cases. Of the number, three are recoveries.
In addition, 14 cases previously classified as recoveries were reclassified as deaths.
The DOH also reported that 12 molecular laboratories in the country did not submit their COVID-19 tally on Oct. 30.
