CAMP GEN. ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan–A police officer in San Miguel town was ordered relieved by Brig. Gen. Valeriano De Leon, Central Luzon police director, after he was accused of rape by a 24-year-old woman.
The officer in trouble was Lt. Jimmy Fomak-Chiong Fegcan.
In a report, the regional police’s Public Information Office in Camp Olivas said the woman was caught violating the curfew in Bulacan on Wednesday (Oct. 28).
The woman was held inside the municipal jail and was allegedly raped inside the police barracks.
Police said the woman, who was allowed to go home after being held for a few hours, reported the sexual assault to the women’s desk of the station.
“I ordered his immediate relief pending the investigation being conducted,” De Leon said of Fegcan.
“We will not condone this misdemeanor and appropriate charges will be filed against him, both administrative and criminal if warrants,” De Leon said.
A rape complaint has been filed against Fegcan.
