COVID-19 fatality rate in Taguig decreases in October
MANILA, Philippines — Taguig City on Thursday said the mortality rate of COVID-19 among its residents decreased in October.
The case fatality rate dropped from 0.83 percent in September to 0.73 percent in October, data from Taguig Public Information Office showed.
“The city’s case fatality rate is at 0.73 percent, far lower than the case fatality rate of Metro Manila, at 2.92 percent,” read the statement.
Meanwhile, Cayetano said the attack rate of COVID-19 infections in the city remained at 0.87 percent. The attack rate is the number of infections over a total population.
As of Wednesday, Taguig logged a total of 8,641 total confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 8,485 recoveries and 63 deaths. The city currently has 93 active cases. [ac]
