KIDAPAWAN CITY, Philippines – Police have arrested a suspect in the bombing of a public terminal in Digos City three years ago.
Nor Muhammid, 22, was arrested Wednesday at his residence in Barangay (village) Nuangan in this city, Superintendent Chino Mamburam, city police chief, said Thursday.
Muhammid has been charged before the regional trial court in Davao City for his alleged role in the bomb explosion that ripped through a bus in the public terminal in Digos City in 2008.
Several people were killed while at least 30 others were wounded in that bomb attack.
Police said Muhammid was a member of the al Khobar, an extortion group that operates in some parts of Central Mindanao.
Muhammid, now in the custody of the Kidapawan police, denied the allegations.
