CABANATUAN CITY—The low-lying village of San Jose in San Antonio town, Nueva Ecija province has been isolated by flood from overflowing rivers and creeks, authorities said.
As of 2 p.m. on Monday (Oct. 26), the village’s chapel and some houses were submerged in floodwater, according to the provincial disaster risk reduction and management council (PDRRMC).
The water level in other rivers and creeks in the towns of Nampicuan, Bongabon and Gabaldon was also “above normal” due to the continuing rains.
The Bongabon Road going to the towns of Rizal and San Antonio, and the Nueva Ecija Road going to LaPaz, Tarlac were not passable to light vehicles due to the flooding, the PDRRMC reported.
